No record was found in the Index Library of persons named Broadwell. This does seem unusual, unless one considers the possibility of Broadwell being a variation in the spelling of the original name. There are several places noted in England with the name Bradwell.
The village of Dursley, in Gloucestershire, England, nestles amidst beautiful scenery on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment, above the Vale of Berkeley and the River Severn. Gaining borough status in 1471, Dursley was once the market centre for the whole Vale of Berkeley, also having a significant role in the local wool industry. Other landmarks include the Broadwell, a natural spring which rises at the bottom of Silver Street and forms a tributary of the Ewelme, and the Priory, an ancient building at the bottom of Long Street.

(Current maps do not identify a Herkimer County; 13 miles east/north of Cincinnati would place it in either Hamilton, Warren, or Clermont Counties. Current maps do locate a village of Bardwell about 25 miles east/southeast of Cincinnati on Hwy 32. )
Broadwell, a hamlet of Harrison County, Kentucky, five miles from Cynthiana, where a Presbyterian Church is located at "Broadwell Cross Roads". Church services where held in 1849 in "Broadwell's Meeting on the Ruddle Mills Pike, Harrison Co., KY. (This would most likely have been named after Samuel Broadwell, son of Josiah, who was an early settler of Harrison County. Samuel is buried in the "Old Broadwell Cemetery"approximately five miles southeast of Cynthiana).
Broadwell, a village in Athens County, Ohio, in the Wayne National Forest. It is known that Henry Broadwell (grandson of Nathaniel, great-grandson of William III) lived there and was buried in Athens Co. in 1881.
